Oh, congratulations! :) That sounds like fun! 

We’ve been trying to build a translating base here on our own site but we all have other commitments and translating may prove to be a huge burden.

If you’re fluent at speaking it, you can try using one of those typing things that actually writes Korean phonetically. That way you just need to know the sounds and not the actual character. A site like lexilogos has a Korean one, I believe.

But a more useful answer would be soompi. They have a great thread where there are people willing to help translate. Usually it’s a line or two but I’m sure if you ask nicely and privately message someone who seems to reply quite often, they’ll be more than willing to help. 

I hope that helps a little. I don’t know anyone on tumblr here who does translations for people but if you can find someone on here who is fluent in Korean and ask them nicely, I’m sure they’re willing to help out with a couple lines or so.

Just a reminder that your letter doesn’t have to be in Korean for the artist to enjoy it! :) I think they would appreciate anything from an international fan.

Don’t be sorry! That’s what I’m here for :) Answering your questions is my pleasure! I would recommend sending it to Woollim Entertainment’s address because you don’t want to risk sending your package to the wrong address. Although it’s no guarantee that they will receive the gift, it will more likely arrive there safely~ :) Good luck!!!

Fan Letter Phrases

Putting together phrases that people would like to know in Korean that they can use for fan mail. Simple things, not too specific, like “Hello, how are you? I am from _____”, “Please take care!”, etc.

Yup for sure. They will probably open the package as well just to check it before they give it to the artist. Not sure at all about that because I’m sure different companies have different policies. :3 If only I had some insider information ;)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply :)

Usually the address they post on the website is for general mailing (auditions, gifts, etc.) However, for some bigger companies that have multiple buildings or have offices on various floors, they may designate different addresses for different purposes.

:) But I would say for the most part, all of the mail is directed to the front desk so they don’t usually differentiate addresses for different purposes other than in the “____ Entertainment Company / C/O Auditions …” main header in the first line of the address.

Even that is just formalities, I think. Hopefully that was a good reply? :) Thank you for your questions! I hope you don’t mind that I post them publicly.. I think they’re good questions many people might want to know the answers to!
